Please help me fix iTunes on my MAC

MacBook Pro: 13", late 2011

processor: 2.4 GHz intel core i5

Memory: 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Storage: 280.71 GB free go 498.88 GB

I can't open iTunes on my mac. Keep getting error "The last time you opened iTunes, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?"

I recently upgraded to El Capitan; I have now lost the ability to open iTunes in my user profile. Other users are unaffected. I can open iTunes on my other devices.

Creating a new iTunes library did not work.
