why does my internal ssd report as an external drive

I have just upgraded to a 1TB SSD to enable the installation of Win-10. Bootcamp and "about this mac" see's my new 1TB ssd as an external drive and will not let me proceed in bootcamp.

It is the only drive connected to the system, it has replaced the 250GB internal drive so why does it report as external.

Does any-one know why this is or has a fix for this problem???

Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), Late 2013, 6core, 16GB
