iPhone backup time out
For the last 10 days I have been unable to backup my iPhone 6 to my iMac via iTunes. It gets stuck on step 2 and eventually times out. Anyone having this issue or know how to fix it?

During the time you've had this problem, have you restarted your Mac? If not, disconnect the iPhone, and restart the Mac. Also, restart the iPhone too
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
After startup completes (for both), run iTunes, connect iPhone, and try doing a backup again.
