When I stream iTunes from my MacBook or iMac to the same Apple TV 3, the result is a nice stereo signal for my Hi-Fi [connected by toslink from Apple TV to stereo]. When I stream iTunes from my iPhone 6, the result is a mono signal. How can I fix this?
When you play content from iTunes via your phone, the Apple TV should stream it from the internet not your phone, it should therefore play in stereo or 5.1 depending on your equipment.
The exception is when you are playing your own content, in which case make sure you aren't mirroring.
Love your work in England, however, in the example I gave above, its the same content from the iCloud Music Library. So its something to do with the iPhone...
