mac mini late 2011 very slow suddenly

Question

Last year I upgraded my ram from 2GB to 8GB (this model takes max 8GB) and it sped things up significantly.  Recently it has been slowing down noticably.   I used Dr. Cleaner (to get rid of mackeeper. seems to still be residual mackeeper stuff that I cannot access via path noted on report) and it slowed down considerably after that.  The slowest function is typing emails- and this request!       I tried switching keyboards but it didn&#x27;t help.
