Changing MBP User Name

My wife gave me her MacBook Pro a couple years ago and it still has her user name on it (MacBook HD -> Users -> Sharon). If I change that user name to my name, will this affect anything? I am just worried that it might affect Dropbox or the file path of automatic backups for some of my apps like 1Password. Is there anything else I should do or be aware of before changing the user name?
