iPhone 5S. My phone gives the error message "Storage Almost Full." Tapping Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage shows 8.9 GB under Photos & Camera. However, tapping "Camera" app shows "No Photos or Videos" in memory. What gives?

Can you continue to tap the storage info so you can see exactly how that 8.9 GB is broken down: Settings>General>Storage & iCloud Usage (under Storage)>Manage Storage>then tap Photos & Camera.

It shows Photo Library 8.9 GB and Shared Photo Stream 4.0 KB and that's all.
And when you open the Photos app (not the camera app), you see no albums with any photos in them? And you have looked under both the "Photos" option at the bottom (which displays the Camera Roll, Photo Stream, and if you have any the Selfies, Videos, Bursts, Screenshots, and Recently Deleted albums) as well as the "Shared" option at the bottom, and you see no photos or videos at all in either of those two locations?

I never thought to look in the Photos app. They were there, all deleted by me but not "final deleted" until some number of days passed, which had not happened yet. When I manually deleted them, all my storage came back. Thank you very much. That's why you're an IT specialist and I'm not!!!
