You should not have to wait for an update, because none of the issues you have listed are related to the update you installed, and the next update is unlikely to fix them either. Basic troubleshooting should fix all of your issues. Coolbobcat2 has given you the basic steps. Here are a couple of simple steps to try:

  • Kill all of the apps in your Quick Launch screen: Press HOME, then double-press HOME. Flick each screen image up. When all except the home screen image are closed press HOME again. Then reboot the phone by holding HOME and SLEEP buttons until an Apple logo appears. You will not lose any data.
  • If that doesn't fix it, connect the phone to your computer and restore iOS: First, make sure you have iTunes 12.3 or later. Connect the phone to your computer. When its icon appears in iTunes click on it. Click Back Up Now. When that finishes click Restore iPhone... When prompted, restore your backup. If you have not checked Encrypt Backup you will lose data from your health app and all stored passwords, but nothing else.
  • If that still doesn't fix it, repeat the previous step and do not restore your backup. Instead, reinstall your apps and music manually. This is the only method that will result in some data loss.

One of these will resolve your issues. Probably the first one.

It's hard to be certain after the fact, but it's likely that either the update was corrupted, or that there was an existing problem that the update exacerbated. An update done entirely on the phone only patches code in iOS that has changed. Restoring or updating using iTunes completely replaces all of iOS. That's why I usually do updates with iTunes rather than over-the-air on the phone. It's just a little safer, even though it takes longer.

HI all,

Just to give you an update of my iPhone5. After several times of trying to restore my iPhone with iTune, I am not success.

Restore process could not complete and the phone always in recovery mode. I went to iMedic and they tried to restore my phone. Yet, they could not do so and told me that I was not the only one who had this problem. In fact, there are many!

They told me the root cause might be due to my iPhone internal hardware does not work properly and does not compatible with new IOS 9.2.1 which leads to operating system crash! No solution to relive my phone...Now it is just a rock on paper...

Since my phone was almost 2 years old, no warranty...meaning I have to buy new phone.

This is really disappointing me...

I can confirm there is indeed a virus for iPhone 9.2.1, because I got it. It was not easy to remove. What happens is opening an app, or simply using it for awhile you will hear a nice lullaby come on and someone blowing kisses at you.

At that point your iPhone freezes and the song continues to play until you hard boot it using the right button and black on the bottom for about 8 seconds. When you try to update to 9.3 it will not let you. It restarts the install every time.

The fix that worked for me was first backing up, restore to factory settings, turn it off, plug it in with iTunes running then restore. After that you should be able to update.
