UHD OLED monitors

I am not aware of any computer monitors using OLED let alone 4K/UHD ones. I could be wrong but it is still the case that large screen i.e. larger than smartphones etc. use of OLED is still limited.

LG is the major manufacturer of OLED screens but as yet still has not launched a monitor version. I did find the following http://www.oled-info.com/tags/oled-monitor which includes mention of Dell announcing a new 4K OLED monitor the UP3017Q but this is not supposed to ship till next month i.e. March at the earliest. It will also as you see cost a fortune.

An option might be to get an OLED TV however you need one with a Displayport interface which hardly any TVs have, in fact really only Panasonic do TVs with Displayport interfaces. Panasonic are using OLED panels from LG in some of their TVs. This one http://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/viera-televisions/led/tx-65cz952b.html is a 4K OLED TV and does have a Displayport interface.

Note: All current Macs which have a HDMI interface have a HDMI 1.4 interface which is limited to 4K at only 30fps and this is considered inadequate. Displayport 1.2 as also used in current Macs can do 4K at 30fps, 50fps and 60fps.
