Connecting iPad to car stereo

Hello Iv just brought a Mazda 2 venture edition 2013 plate and I'm wantping to connect my iPad to the car stereo which is also a satnav, but having trouble connecting it.

already connected to the stereo is amazonbasics composites av cable for Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod. but it still will not connect with my lightning usb cable connected to it! im not brilliant with things like this so looking for some help please as I would like to listen to Spotify through the radio and the only other way around it is through the AUX lead which I have done and that works but that cable had broke so I'm going to buy either a new aux lead or try and connect the iPad to that stereo as in my manual book it also says I can watch programs on the stereo through something like the iPad.

Hope all this had made sense and someone can help me.

THank you xxx

Hi ashleighsbo,

Thank you for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.

It looks like you want to connect your iPad to your car stereo. The options you have might differ based on the manufacturer of the car/stereo, and I'd recommend using the steps in this article as a guide--Get help connecting your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with your car stereo.

All the best.
