Hi - try these steps:

  • On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Privacy > Location Services - turn on Location Services.
  • From the Location Services screen, tap on System Services (at the bottom), then:
    • Turn on Location-based Alerts;
    • Tap on Frequent Locations > turn on Frequent Locations.
  • On your iPhone, check that each Calendar event has an address (location) added to it:

    You may be prompted to allow Calendar to access your location while you use the app. If so, tap on Allow.

  • On your iPhone, in the Calendar app, check that each Calendar event is set up to provide an alert:
    • Set the Alert time as Time to Leave.
    • If you also wish to receive a separate alert, configure the Second Alert to your preferred time.
  • On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Notifications > Calendar:
    • Turn on Allow Notifications;
    • Tap on Upcoming Events > enable each of the settings (including Show in Notification Centre and Show on Lock Screen).
  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > Notifications > Calendar:

    Choose Mirror iPhone or, if choosing Custom:

    • Turn on Show Alerts;
    • Tap on Upcoming Events > enable all three settings (Show Upcoming Event Alerts, Sound and Haptic).

Keep in mind also that how notifications behave depends on the status of your devices. In order to bring notifications to your attention as soon as possible:

- If your iPhone is unlocked, you will receive notifications on your iPhone instead of on your watch.

- If your iPhone is locked or asleep and your watch is unlocked (regardless of whether the watch screen is asleep or awake) and on your wrist, you will receive notifications on your watch.

- If your watch is locked or has Do Not Disturb enabled, notifications will go to your iPhone.
