Solution to "Could not load image (1,019)

I tried everything to solve this issue android all the threads but never found a solid answer to this 0,019 error. (There may be one but I couldn't find it.) Today I tried something new and it worked so I thought I should share.

I selected the Photos Library in the Pictures folder. Using the Control key (or a right click) I selected from the pulldown menu the Show Package Contents option.

There were two folders mixed in with the others that were Masters collections. One is the Masters folder for Photos. The other holds the Masters from my older iPhoto library.

I simply moved all of the folders holding iPhoto Masters to the Photos Master folder and presto!

Next time I opened Photos I could export anything and everything.

I ran Disk Utility to repair permissions just in case but so far... no problems.

Kevin,

thanks for posting the solution. This looks like the migration got stuck when you migrated from iPhoto to Photos.

For the next one finding your solution - could you please add the system version and the Photos version you have been using? It may be system specific if this fix will work. Has your old iPhoto library been an iPhoto 9.6.1 library?

for anyone trying this be sure you have a known good backup of the Photos library before making these changes in case it foes bad for you - making change to the content of the library is extremely dangerous and you must protect your library before doing it

Sorry. I should have included this information.

OSX 10.10.5

The iPhoto version was indeed 9.6.1

Photos is 1.0.1

I had all this saved to Time Machine as well as a backup disk before trying anything.

I gather from what you are saying that this was a migration issue and that is why I had an iPhoto master folder inside my Photos folder that had not placed the images where they were supposed to be. That would mean this solution would only work under these specific circumstances. Good to know. And here I was thinking I was brilliant. Oh, well.

I just wanted to make sure, that someone who finds this post three years later will not try it without comparing the system versions and the circumstances.
