Mac kicks me off home wifi then wont connect again for hours?

Hey Guys,

I have a big issue with my macbook pro where I will get kicked off my home WIFI (happens at least once a day) then won't let me connect again? When i try to connect i get 'Invalid Password'. But i know its the right password as all the other devices in the house work.

Ill have to keep pressing connect for 30mins / hour before it will finally connect again. I have tried to research on how to fix this but have not been successful.

Please get back to me with any ideas!

Thanks!

MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Have you tried turning wireless off, then back on after a minute or so? The only suggestion I have for a more permanent fix is completely delete the network from your macbook - make sure you don't have multiple networks with the same name - then add it back again, and make it your most preferred network. (I'm assuming you have it set to remember networks) - And make sure you don't have any wrong networks saved.

What wireless router do you have, is it dual band with one SSID?

What does Wireless Diagnostics show?

Wireless Diagnostics

Wi-Fi Problems in OS X Yosemite (3)

WiFi Potential Temporary fix - Yosemite

Also try turning off Bluetooth.

WIFI AND BLUETOOTH FINALLY SOLVED, NO REALLY - YOSEMITE 10.10

If your Wi-Fi source is capable of generating a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network, try that to help avoid conflicts with Bluetooth.
