Change the note key from Do, Re to C,D, etc

Hey everyone,

First time here, but long term Apple fan. I recently upgrade my Logic Pro X and a change in the scale notes, like C ,C#, D, D#, E, happened, and it changed to the solfège scale, like Do, Re, Mi, etc, is there a way for me to change it? It weird thing is, if i open an old project it changes back to the C, C#, D, D#,... scale, but i don't seem to find a options to change it back. Anyways if someone could help, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks guys,

Logic Pro X, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

The Key of the Song (in the control bar) and the chords in the score are driven as Eriksmon indicated by the language setting in the score chords and grids tab parameter setting.

The chord display in the control bar is driven based on the language of the system (OSx). So you must not be using English. There is a trick in Logic to have Logic open up in English regardless of the system language ( but I have to go back and recall how to do that). It may not be what you want to do anyway.

So basically - if you Mac is setup for say.... German and Logic is being used in German. Then you can change Key and Score chords to be International as described in the previous posts, but the Note/Chord display will remain as you see it. ( that is my recollection on how it works)

No, I've never seen that, and I must say I only found that one Score setting and nothing else (I looked through all Preferences and Project Settings); but when I set it to Do, re, mi, nothing changes in my MIDI monitor, I still get "normal" note names. And I have looked for other settings or prefs influencing this, but I couldn't find any. So the last option I can think of is that it may have to do with the language your (qwerty) keyboard is set to in the OS X preferences. Sometimes setting everything to English can clear up strange issues.

EDIT: see my later post for a correction. I didn't account for the specific LCD setting used.

Ah, I just tried again and it is expected behaviour with that specific LCD screen setting combined with the Do, re, mi... setting. Because the MIDI monitor changes to a static display of the song key once no MIDI is being put in. This song key is always displayed according to the Score=>Language setting. The input MIDI is displayed Internationally (regardless of the setting).

That makes sense, but i have my Mac for a year now, and i always had the same language, and Logic Pro showed the Chords in the way that i said. Anyway, it will have to do.

Thanks guys for your help.

P.S: If i change my system language do i have to reinstall LPX?

P.S.S: i think i got it if i change the time to US time, it works just like i wanted, so i guess that fix the problem.
