Safari can't open my.yahoo due to too many redirects occurring.

Safari: "Could not open the page, too many redirects"

I am having the same problem (the same day and about the same time.) Is this a general problem? I couldn't find my.yahoo.com website in list of cookies, and I'm concerned about deleting all data. Gloria: were you able to correct the problem? Anyone else having this problem and found a way to correct it?

Im having the same issue, but only in Safari, in Firefox Im able to go to myyahoo page...

Could you explain your procedure in going to this link? Did you find my.yahoo in the list and then remove the cookies? Or did you have to remove all cookies/web sites?

I am having the same problem. It started last night (March 4) and continues this morning. "MyYahoo" page will not open in Safari on my iPad2 because of "too many redirects." I was able able to open "MyYahoo" page in Safari on my MacBook Pro however, but then immediately tried the same on my iPad with no success.

I followed the steps

Safari: "Could not open the page, too many redirects"

This might happen if you visit a page that's been set to open another page, but the next page is instructed to go back to the original page.

This issue can be caused by the website you're trying to view. Safari might be able to open the website at a later time, when the website's redirect problem has been corrected.

This issue can also happen if redirect information has been cached after it's no longer needed. In some cases, removing related cookies and cache in Safari can resolve repeated redirects:

1. Safari, choose Safari > Preferences.
2. Click the Privacy icon to view Privacy settings.
3. Click the Details button that appears under the Remove All Website Data button.
4. Search for the name of the website that you are trying to view.
5. Click the Remove button.
6. Close the Safari Preferences window.

I just encountered this issue today too. Deleting all Yahoo.com cookies didn't work. I could get into a non-personalized Yahoo page, but the moment I hit the home button for my own my.yahoo.com page, and logged in...boom. Back to "too many redirects". As others have reported, it doesn't work on the iPad either.

Did Yahoo change something over night? 😟

The very same page works just fine with Chrome and Firefox. My Yahoo page is highly personalized, with everything from stock market and weather feeds to various publication feeds - I'm not about to abandon it.

A quick update to my last post. I found a suggestion in a different blog, which is to bring up a "Private" Safari webpage on the same iPad or iPhone you are having trouble with, then try your "MyYahoo" site. Sure enough, it came up for me no problem!!

Hey John, that was a good tip! Private browsing on a Mac cures it too. If you're having trouble in Safari on a Mac, open a new private window (under the file menu) and voila - my.yahoo.com loads.

This would make you think that it's something to do with cookies/tracking etc., but deleting cookies and caches doesn't fix this issue, as it has sometimes in the past. Let's hope Yahoo fix it.

And the plot thickens. My MacBook Pro has the issue - but my iMac does NOT. Both are running OS 10.10.5 but my iMac is running Safari 9.01, not 9.03, which is what the MBP is running. No idea if that has anything to do with it or not, though, considering lots of people are squawking about this same problem using other devices, browsers and operating systems (Windows 8 and 10...).
