Safari can't open my.yahoo due to too many redirects occurring.

I have an iMac and recently installed new OS 10.11.3. I don't think the OS is the problem. Today I was unable to auto open my home page thru Safari. System Prefs says the computer is connected to my network, but it won't connect. I was able to get to my mail through yahoo.com, but it's not my.yahoo.com page. Open to any suggestions. Thanks

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

My MacBook Pro and iPhone 6 have the problem of not loading "MY YAHOO" startup page in Safari since March 6th. I followed the instructions of relaunching Safari, selecting "File-->New Private Window" and was able to get to MY YAHOO page. After I signed in with my password it brought me to the exact content I usually have on my start-up page. Of course, if I quit Safari, I have to do it all over again ( "File-->New Private Window") but at least it is a quick fix for my MacBook Pro. (Note, no problem loading in Firefox)

I have not figured out how to get a temporary fix for my iPhone 6. MY YAHOO page is still running perfectly on my iPad Pro, so it is not a universal problem.

This has to be a Yahoo problem. I've done everything above, including clicking my heals three times. I also spent over an hour on the phone with a Yahoo tech who concluded I should spend $400 to have my computer de-bugged! This, despite the fact that I had just run Eset cyber security, Malwarebytes, and one other program; they all said nothing was wrong. Yesterday, after removing cookies, cleaning cache, etc., Firefox, Chrome, and Opera all worked, and still work this morning. Safari, no. IOS is a problem for all browsers. I seem to recall that the inclusion of those big banner ads at the top of the My Yahoo page is new. Am I remembering that correctly? Could that be the source--at Yahoo, of course--of the problem?
