My iMessage has been hacked

I went into the messages app on my computer recently and found out that more than 20 messages had been sent. The messages were all to Chinese numbers, and the messages in Chinese. User uploaded file

Has anyone experienced the same? is my account hacked?

Hi,

You need to call Apple Support (Apple Care) and state you have an Apple ID issue.

you will probably need to ask to speak to someone higher as Level 1 people are Script led.

Apple ID issues are free to fix.

Ask them to check the server as devices can be specifically blocked.

Same thing here. I talked to a senior support rep at Apple and they said that when your phone sends out these spam messages, once somebody on the receiving end reports it as "spam" then your iMessage gets locked down basically for a period of time. I think it's 24 hours but I'm not positive. Anyway they told me my iMessages should be re-enabled tomorrow sometime because the "spam" was reported today. We'll see if that's true or not.

Just got off the phone with Apple for the second time over this same problem. My iMessage stopped working after over 500 Chinese spam Imessages were sent from my phone yesterday during a two hour period. When I realized what was happening, I changed my Apple password and they stopped immediately. However, so did my ability to use iMessage. In my most recent call with Apple, they escalated the problem to an engineer who believes that what happened was that when the spams were sent out from my phone, Apple detected it and put some kind of lock on iMessages from my number. The engineering people are looking at it and will get back to me in "up to 4 business days." Ugh.

HHello so me too...... I spent 2 hours on the phone at Apple Store tonight I spoke with level 1 support for 1 hour then 30 min with level 2 support. Level 2 had not heard or seen this Chinese hack and said I will need to wait 24 hrs before my iMessage will work again as it is not working on my phone nor my iPad. For those of you whose iMessage is not works or has been blacklisted. Please post how and when you see it up and working again. This is a big problem and maybe we sh go to the media with this story if Apple does not resolve this asap.

THanks

I Don't know if this has been resolved but my iMessage was hacked following 100s of Chinese spam messages. I called apple support to help resolve the situation and they told me to change password and security questions! I did this and then later that night my iMessage stopp working so I've been trying to work out why it's stopped. I reset my phone, updated it, taken the SIM card out, set up as new, restored the phone even put back old back up and no one seems to be able to get it to work again.

Help?!

I only talked to support once. They told me after it was reported as spam that iMessage would not work for a little while. The rep said she thought 24 hours. However, it was about 48 hours from the time I noticed the spam from my account until my iMessage started working again.

I tried all the troubleshooting that has been mentioned everywhere and nothing worked. I was still getting green messages from/to everyone. Then just all of a sudden iMessage was working again. I didn't do anything at that particular time that helped it start working again. It just happened.

This happened to me this morning as well. Apparently signed in on 2 different macs (I don't own one).

"Your apple ID is now being used for iMessage on a new Mac.

If you recently signed into 8gepc[a couple chinese characters] Mac (9) you can ignore this notification."

Is anyone else getting the 8gepc? From looking at my iMessages on my phone it doesn't look like I sent or received anything. I don't have a Mac so I can't sign into iMessage on one to look, would it be any different? It's possible these messages were deleted after they were sent?
