I upgraded to a newer version of iTunes. When I opened up the new iTunes, all these random songs appeared in my iTunes playlist!! I have NO idea where they came from. Why are they on my computer, and how do I delete them from my iTunes?!

Thanks ffiti… that did hide those songs.. I'm still confused though… how did these songs get there in the first place? Some of these tunes I definitely did not purchase. Is there any way they would have automatically been added to my iCloud? Also I didn't even realize I have an iCloud account… I never signed up for one and don't want one. How do I get rid of iCloud?

Thank you!

Those songs that appeared should all be your past purchases that you don't currently have downloaded. I don't know how they got there if you didn't purchase them. Have you ever shared your account with someone else?

iTunes in the Cloud is just a feature thset lets you download your purchases again at no extra charge. There's no turning it on or off; it's just a thing you can do.

There are lots of other iCloud features that you can read about elsewhere.

Go to the iTunes Store Purchased screen

Download your past purchases - Apple Support

Set it to show ALL of your song purchases. Do those songs you don't remember purchasing also appear on that list?

NOTE: Free songs also count as purchases. I have songs in my library that I don't remember purchasing, and they are usually songs that were the "free song of the week" that I downloaded (technically "purchased") just because it was free.

NNot sure how to help with your question!?! However, same thing happened to me and also my iPod will not connect to iTunes and I can't select it from iTunes!!!!!!

why can't all items you purchase from APPLE, have updates? I can't afford every new "bling" APPLE produces to consumers! I want to know what APPLE is doing about this! I'm sorry for posting this on your question. But couldn't contact unless calling
