Apple Usb Adapter to ethernet problem on windows 7

Hi

Im looking for a solution for a week now. To sum up my problem, I have Windows 7 installed via bootcamp on my macbook Air, and i recently purchased an Apple usb adapter to Ethernet. It works like a charm on mac os X, but it doesn't as well on windows. The device is detected but appears as "Unspecified" when i look in the "Device and printers" folder.

I tried to reinstall the driver from bootcamp 5.1.5640, I have to remove the adapter from the pc if i don't want the installation to fail, and when i do that, it appears like it has been "installed succesefully" but it's always considered "Unspecified".

I Tried downloading the drivers directly from the ASIX website here http://www.asix.com.tw/products.php?op=pItemdetail&PItemID=86;71;101

and tried to install the driver manually, but i get message saying that the drivers have been found but that there was an error while trying to install it with a "the parameter is incorect" error message. I tried to follow the steps on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37QXx3iXSZY and it didn't work either.it

If you could help me with this it could be awesome, because i really need to connect with the ethernet adapter on windows for my work.

A little detail that may maybe help. I have 2 things that won't work on windows either, it's the driver from "Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter_01" and "IVR_Virtual_0000". When I Auto update their drivers with the windows troubleshoot, it says that there was no driver found.

I don't know if it has anything to do with the adapter problem thought.

I don't mind bying a TB adapter. The only thing refraining me from doing it is the fact that i may buy it and it woudn't work. Can you confirm that if I buy such an adapter it woudn't create some bothersome driver problem?

And what the 2 drivers that didn't install on my computer ? ("Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter_01" and "IVR_Virtual_0000")
