OS 9 Support Dropped By ATI?

Just noticed, when attempting to access the ATI site to check on current software for Mac ATI video cards, that the new AMD/ATI site no longer provides download links for OS 9 drivers. Fortunately I have copies of the last OS 9 software updates applicable to my various video cards. Might still be able to get a link through VersionTracker.

Just wanted to say thanks for the link to the mozilla browser for OS 9. I hadn't been to Apple Diss. for some time & found the website all jumbled until I downloaded & installed mozilla!

I really need the installer (can you send it to me? info@ardswe.com).

When I put the, RADEON 9000 Pro Mac Edition, in my mac (Digital Audio 466) it won't boot (no power light) take the card out and put my old one back and it works again, any ideas?

I sent you the installer via email.

Load the new ATI Radeon software with your old video card in place. Make sure all of the ATI extensions loaded are enabled. Turn off your Mac and install the Radeon 9000 video card. Does it boot up now?

However, the Beige G3 will not recognize a HDD larger than 128 GB, so don't look for the new, super large, HDDs.

Just a side note, but Intech's ATA Hi-Cap Driver...

However, that's pretty pricey software just to add some GBs of storage to a 10 year old Mac.

Yeah, thanks for the link, it is pricey, (the other utilities may make it worth the price though), but it used to come included free with a lot of External HDs & such.:-)

In my view the best browser choice for OS 9 is iCab ( http://www.icab.de/). The last public beta is not too fresh but I have registered and used the newest betas, which expelled a few bugs. I am not related to the iCab venture in any way.

I just got a radeon 9000 and in os9, windows stagger when I drag them, the internet is very slow when scrolling. Carl, Could you please send me the drivers for this card for 0s9? I would really appreciate it.

My email to you got returned. The rejection notification indicated that hotmail.com has blocked my IP address. I don't know what that is about. Please check into it and I'll try to send the update again after you advise as to what went wrong with my first attempt.

BTW, why are you using Windows HotMail on your Mac?

Carl B, most likely they subscribe to something like SpamCop, where when somebody spoofs your IP, you get erroneously blocked, check here...
