Alarm clock is draining battery

Hello,

Since I have updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 9.2.1 (13D15), I'm having issues with the battery when the alarm clock is set.

I have disabling/re-enabling other services to find out what is causing the drain, but it always comes down to the alarm clock app.

When the phone is fully charged (100%), and all battery consuming services are disabled (gps, 3G/4G, location services, wifi,...) and I set my alarm clock, then the next 8 hours I wake up with a battery life of 32%...

Ever since I bought the iPhone 5 (since it came out) I never had issues with this, it started when updating to iOS 9.2.1

Can you please have a look at this?

Hi Lachlan,

Thank you for your answer but it looks like you didn't read my issue thoroughly.

Of course every app is using the battery, but it cannot be normal behaviour that a fully charged battery gets drained from 100% to 32% in 8 hours during standby mode (meaning not using the phone and all major battery consuming services disabled).

All the years since I have this phone, using the alarm clock overnight decreases the battery with maybe 2-3%, but not 70%...

This behaviour started when updated to the latest iOS version, so there is clearly something wrong here.

Keeping the phone plugged into a power source is merely a workaround but not a solution.

Kind regards,

Dave
