Thanks for sharing your experience with us that might work for other users too.

However the XP style option is there for a reason, if affects something and it has a function.

Did you check the "my music" section just in case? unabling that option makes now all the albums HUGE and iTunes menus blurry also many other third party Windows programs may be affected by that change, i have a longman dictionary software and the interface became big and blurry by doing that.

Problem is not our machines but Apple stupid changes, Apple is the one messing and changing stuff here not us, personally i don't think they are gonna fix.

Personally too i have noticed that the iTunes for Windows fonts have become uglier and uglier each version, more blurry, less clear, i mean the Apple guys have changed it over the years but not for good and now is worst than ever sadly.

BTW XP style option explained here:

Keep in mind that if you use a DPI setting higher than 96, the text and other graphical items in programs that are not designed to work with the DPI scaling engine might appear blurry. To compensate for those types of programs, Windows 7 incorporates a backward-compatible DPI scaling feature that will kick in when you run those programs. As such, it is advisable that you leave the Windows XP style DPI scaling check box selected.

By disabling that option you might get this results too on the latest iTunes for windows version:

As you can see menus are blurry and album artworks huge.

I've been testing for a while and everything is looking good and working fine.

I know that should not be the right solution but, until Apple fixes that problem, I'll stick to this option.

As I said, I really hate tiny and pixelated fonts. They're awful. They remind me of Windows 95 or even older versions.

Microsoft didn't evolve in font rendering (that's why I use the GDIPP program).

That screenshot is yours? If so, why are talking in English? (I'm from Argentina).

Anyway, I prefer big album arts (though I don't find them that big), functional browsing without icons being out phase (you know, when you click over an app in the App Store and another one opens), some little blurriness in the fonts on iTunes is not an issue for me (as a matter of fact, I like them).

All the fonts in Windows are looking perfect as usual (with that GDIPP, of course). You really should try it because, if that screenshot is yours, that iTunes menu fonts would look awesome... not to mention the whole Windows system.

BTW, I still have Windows 7 Ultimate and I could upgrade to Windows 10 with just one click but I find it really awful, confusing, with too much information on screen, those ugly tiles (yikes!) and, when you browse the system a little deeper, you find that some icons and menus are the same that Windows 98 used to have.

OK, I think I went too far and out of topic (that's because font rendering is one of the most important things for me in an operating system... not to mention the icons and menus).

I have an iMac too and Apple really cares about those things: they look great and they're functional at the same time.

Bye!

Perhaps because the Apple Forums are in English not in Spanish? Why do you want me to write here using a different language?

All those third party GDIPP "solutions" are not new for me. I've already tried them back in 2009 when Windows 7 was originally released, personally i don't like messing with that aspect of Windows. There's a reason why i don't use them.

Back in 2009 things were fine with both Windows 7 and iTunes, Windows 7 interface has remained the same but not iTunes.

But as i said thanks for your "fix", it might help other users.

And i agree, Apple DO care about their 5k resolutions and software looking good, they just simply don't care about windows...

When Jobs was alive iTunes software updates for Windows were very very frequently, now, with Cook, an update can take months and months, being sincere I'm not expecting a fix for this.

First was the Apple Music section, its useless for me so i went back to Spotify and problem solved, now they dont' want me to buy in their iTunes Store either, then i won't!.

Well, I just moved to Windows 10 (not because of this issue but because some recent software that appeared a few days ago and required this W10) and I did an upgrade (not a clean installation).

Now I have a "modern" but uglier OS if I compare it to W7. I mean, I like the new folders and some other cool features but W7 was better IMO (sorry... I went offtopic).

The thing is, that GDIPP is still working but only in some programs and there's no 100% coverage like W7 used to have.

What I'm trying to say, regarding to the topic, is that iTunes looks and works exactly as it used to and the fonts, icons and right menu are fine.

The OS font size is still set in 125% (I tried 100% but they looked too pixelated and tiny).

I found out that W10 does not have that "XP style" option to uncheck (I guess it was too obsolete to include it).

Conclusion: it looks that the issue was W7 exclusive and for people using 125% font size and it seems that Apple won't fix that and, if you're having problems with iTunes and using those two things, I would unckeck that "XP style" or set the fonts back to 100% or upgrade to W10.

Nope, i won't take any of those.

but you forgot a fourth one -> Stop buying on the iTunes Store. 😝 or even a fifth one: wait for the revamped iTunes coming soon...

When the time comes for millions of users to stop using Windows 7 (in 4 years time more or less, currently still installed on 50% of the machines worldwide) then i will worry about adopting a possible Windows 11 not before, i have 0 need to adopt windows 10 right now.

Windows 10 is unstable and sadly you will find that with the use of it. You are pretty much another Windows 10 beta user now...

I called Apple Support last week. I was on the phone probably 45 minutes with them and they didn't make me go through all the usual uninstall/reinstall procedures. They kept moving me up to different levels of support. They seemed to care about the problem especially since I mentioned that I'm having trouble buying products in the ITunes Store. I sent them screen shots of the malfunctioning ITunes store and how I'm being affected. I also sent them this Apple Support Community page to show them others are having the problems.

They seemed to want to help and were going to send the info to their development team. I will follow up with them after the next update if things are still bad. They agreed that you shouldn't have to change the DPI settings to get it to work properly.

My suggestion to everyone is call Apple Support. The more people that call, I think eventually they will figure out that they are losing money from a group of people and they might try to fix. They seemed like they were going to work on it. Let's hope!

I don't know guys i have a bad feeling about this. I'm afraid iTunes is gonna end like this:

Apple stops patching QuickTime for Windows despite 2 active vulnerabilities

Security firm urges Windows users to uninstall media player.

http://arstechnica.com/security/2016/04/apple-stops-patching-quicktime-for-windo ws-despite-2-active-vulnerabilities/

and yes i'm gonna uninstall it ^

Apple just don't care about windows users anymore.

Apr 17, 2016 5:14 AM in response to psikofunkster

This is not just a Windows 7 problem, as I have the same issue with Windows 8.1. The correct font flashes for less than a second before it re-sizes exactly as is shown in the original post. Hopefully if enough Windows users send info to Apple they will patch it. As one response mentioned, it's going to make it hard for people to buy on iTunes trying to navigate this screen. I can't even get to my saved Wish List anymore when using a laptop....

iTunes 12.3.3 fonts size are now way too BIG!
