What does the star mean in Apple Music?
iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi
Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
That is false. In iOS 9 and prior your music yyou could rate your own music and it would find in ratings from your iTunes on desktop. i know that iTunes 9 on desktop was hated bu music lovers, iTunes 10, 11... all designed to enrage music fans. OSX lion and all versions after make creative professionals want to jump off a cliff and UX designers like myself want to reanimate Steve Jobs' body in hope he csn see how basterdized his work has become. It does not surprise me if iOS 10 is a sad attempt to shed more Apple fans.
How do I remove this annoying star??
This is really annoying. I really dislike Apple trying to auto-everything; its not helpful and annoying at the same time.
Once again, features for features sake - no use and clutters the previously clean interface.
Why does apple beleife that I give a sh1t what's popular?? Why, on my phone, do o want any indication ofbwhat other people think?
I know, ever since they launched Apple Music they've been replacing useful features with things that promote this cloud-based garbage. They do it because they know they can get away with it.
Having your own Hearts rating there would be way more useful.
Exactly.
Before you know it, this unorthodox post will be erased by the thought police...or Mark Suckmyberg.
I have an album on Apple Music now entitled "Soul'd Out SHo" an 3 or 4 of my songs have stars next to them.... am I to assume that means they're fairly popular/liked amongst those who have heard it ?
It would be nice if the music app showed how the user rated the song instead of how others rate the song.
I rate this feature zero stars.
Are there any other threads, websites where one can find answers relating to iTunes? Moderators here keep deleting posts which are critical and therofre I cannot find the answers in looking for..
I believe the star against a song title in the track listing of an album, indicates that song was a single off the album.
I hope this helped someone.
U2 latest album has stars on the first five songs, while they have only released two singles.
I’ve read another explanation: starred songs could be the most popular.
