Macbook Air 2015 with Dell 2407WFP monitor resolution issue

Hey all,

I have a Macbook Air Early 2015 with latest El Capitan OSX version and attached a external Dell 2407WFP monitor by MiniDisplayport adapter to VGA.

Main issue that I'm having is that OSX doesn't recognize profile/properties of monitor because I see in displays that monitor is a 13,9" with a resolution of 800x600, I know that Dell doesn't provide a driver/support for this monitor on Apple devices but I'd like to know if anyone has an idea to load the profile of monitor (exporting from Windows may be?) to get 1900x1200 resolution.

Dear all,

I have recently purchased a macbook air 11" (Early 2015) and I have exactly the same issue described here. HDMI OK, VGA NOT ok. The screen works but with bad resolution and same thing with my TV on VGA.

I also have a macbook air Early 2013 with Intel HD 5000 and it works perfect with the same monitor display.

Please, can you provide a solution? it is mandatory for me to work.
