gps not working properly after iOS 9.3 update

Hi all.

After updating to iOS 9.3 my GPS cannot find my exact location. It keeps telling me I am in a big area, (Triangulating) seems like it does not activate the GPS.

Sometimes very little it works and give me the correct position, but 97% of the time its not working. Anyone else with the same problem?

Besides that: A hot phone & bad WIFI

I had the same problem. Iphone 6.

After 9.3 Update, GPS not detected on Waze and WIFI signal seems to be much lower ( 1 bar within 8 meter distance from router)

9.3.1 update didnt help.

Currently complaining to apple support center and waiting for the investigation result

Phone is out of warranty, since it's been a while.

But definitely the update screw up the phone gps and wifi function.

I've reset the phone, reset the network setting, restore to default firmware 9.3.1. None seems to help.

Apple please help to sort this problem asap......

Hello Guys

Still another unhappy Apple customer ( I've been ios addict since 2009! I'm seriously thinking about getting a Galaxy S7). I'm in the same case as most of you. Updated to iOS 9.3.1 and can't use any of my navigation apps ( Waze, Google Map...) Have tried every trick and solution found on the web but still nothing It's getting worse I believe. Same thing with WiFi it's getting weaker. but no problem with BT. My iphone 6 is out of warranty since 2 months and unfortuantely the screen is broken so I'm waiting for nothing from Apple' side. I was thinking about changing the WiFi, BT GPS antenna since I've ordered a new lcd digitizer to change the broken one so I will do the antenna by the way.I ll keep you updated if this works

Thanks

Hello

I'm back again may be with a good news 🙂. My battery was fully drained so the phone went off. I put the phone to charge and when it was on I tried to test my GPS signal and guess what ? Evrything is OK and the WiFi SSID the phone shows has more than doubled !!. I think I ve found the solution for your issues. Be careful. this needs to be proved still I don't know if it will still work tomorrow or in one week. Anyway it could be the beginning of a permanent solution

You can try it and keep me updated.

Cheers

Update:

Went to Genius Bar on Saturday. Ironically, GPS navigation works perfectly on the way there. Tech looks at my phone, does a full hardware diagnostic. Nothing wrong. We try resetting the network settings (since that's the only thing I hadn't done already). She schedules a follow-up call from Apple Support for Sunday to see if things work.

I try GPS navigation on the way home, and it's all screwed up. When I get home, Wifi reception still terrible as always. So nothing gained there.

She did say she spoke to another tech there and told me there is some known issue with the GPS location that is not fixed in iOS 9.3.1, but then she also told me that "Wi-Fi Assist" (aka the "Keep the Carriers Happy by Burning All My Data Without Me Knowing" feature 😠) was added in the latest release (it wasn't, it's older than that) and might have been the cause of my cellular data overconsumption. So I turned that off.

Follow-up call confirmed that everything is still broken. I am now headed back to the Genius Bar today to hopefully get a repair or replacement.
