transfer a .tod file to iMovie

Yes, itt's possible, but not in one step. From what I understand about this (which isn't much ), .TOD, .MOD. and .MTS are 3 strange formats used by digital camcorders. IF your camcorder has some kind of firewire output (or iLink, or IEEE-1394), you should be able to plug it into your MacBook Pro, go to iMovie, see if your camcorder is recognized, then turn on to playback mode, and go to iMovie and turn on video capture. Not all camcorders will work this way,though. the iMovie website will have a rough list of ones that work. If that doesn't work, you're going to have touy a video converter program of some kind. FFMPEG might do it, but you have to enter some kind of Terminal command, and I don't know now to do that
