Have you done a restart since the update?
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up the app window until it flies off the screen.
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)
It's happening to me as well on ipadpro. Safari links don't work. Chrome links only open if you open in new tab. We need a fix ASAP. I'm not going to delete all my content and load apps in one at a time. oh yeah, mail links are broken as well.
Just want to remind everyone that Apple does not read this forum, nor do they participate at all (apart from TOS monitors), so asking them to "fix it!" here is a waste of time. You'll either need to take the advice of the others who've successfully fixed theis individually, or provide feedback to Apple directly using the http://apple.com/feedback link.
Perhaps they should be monitoring these forums. It's pretty lame to release such a buggy OS. I won't be updating again or trusting Apple anytime soon.
And BTW, that link doesn not take you to a page where feedback can be provided to Apple on anything related to this iOS update.
As stated in other posts, it's a problem with your individual device and not the iOS in general, most likely. I just updated yesterday and I'm not having this problem, so it's likely one of your apps that's causing the issue.
You can choose iPhone and type in the problem you're having - Apple won't respond but they do read all submissions.
The only way to solve the problem here is to disable the JavaScript on Safari... at least I´m able to click on Hyperlinks on Safari and iOS.
Miss you, Steve...
Turning off JavaScript doesn't help with all pages! Google works but many other don't now I have just a phone without full web browser worth $1000... Sad...
It worked! My links functioned again in Safari after I closed all my open apps as instructed and performing the restart. Thanks for that. Evrything else seems to be running as normal but I will wait to upgrade my other IOS devices untill the new update is published. Very sloppy work to say the least apple!
To solve my problem, I need to hard reset the phone, recover from a downloaded IOS and ignore the restore... It's a "brand new" iPhone without any previously configuration. Sad and ridiculous
Well, I'm at a loss. Problem reappeared and I don't see anything in xCode logs that point me in any particular direction. Hopefully my open case leads to some kind of resolution.
same problem here. No links are working from searches but links within web pages are working. The problem appeared after the 9.3 upgrade I use an iphone 6 with 64 mega. This is totally unacceptable from Apple. Did anyone get support tonidentify snd solve the problem?
I have 3 tickets with Apple. I was advised that they are working on this issue and a new update will be released April 2nd to repair these issues.
same issue on iPhone 6+ click a link in email or safari and it causes a freeze/crash
A TEMPORARY SOLUTION TO THE iOS 9.3 EMAIL AND SEARCH LINK ISSUES:
MAIL ISSUES
SEARCH/SAFARI ISSUES
DOwnload the Google Search app, do your searching through this portal. Links work.
NEither of these is perfect but it gets around the current paralysis. Issues:
I hope this helps some of you to survive this mess.
