Final cut express 4 on installation ask for my password, I have tried every password I know and none work. What password is it looking for?

Are you sure it is not asking for the serial number that should be with the packaging?
Can you post a screen shot of the dialog box?

Thanks for the response, I stupidly had the caps lock on and did not notice it.
I have a similar problem. The system ask for the serial number. I gave all the number I could find on the original box I have, it do not accept it. I does accept the upgrade number but not the serial one?
It's easy to mix up O and 0, I and 1.
The serial numbers are groups in triplets, three letters then three numbers. e.g.. OIR-015..............
