Boot Camp Sound Problems with Windows 10 after update to 10.11.4

Loaded Windows 10 into Boot Camp, there was an initial problem with no internet connection. Found a driver and this problem was solved. Update El Capitan to the new standard 10.11.4. Now there is NO sound in Boot Camp/ Windows 10. Have tried using the Boot Camp method to obtain the new drivers from Apple, but to date still NO Sound. Can anybody offer some guidance on a remedy to solve this issue. just a thought, is it likely that each up date by Apple will bring a problem?

Brilliant In Windows I uninstalled the Real Tek Driver via the Manger the Control Panel, re-run the Boot Camp Compatibility program from the USB stick. When it freezes at the Real Tek End Task to close the program. Now when you view the sound driver in the Control Panel it shows Cirrus and not Real Tek. Now it plays sound. Thanks for your help and I hope this will solve other peoples similar sound problem. In this case the Real Tek was a red herring.🙂

Did you partition your disk using Disk Utility or allow BC Assistant to partition the disk. On your specific model, W10 is supported, but it is not a very standard EFI implementation. If you want to try, removed the current W10 using BCA. Once it is removed, re-run BCA and try your installation. Do not interrupt the boot sequence by manually using Alt/Option.

I have loaded Realtek drivers from web site, no sound. This was as an individual program since the Boot Camp setup freezes. I have reset SMC as per instructions, no joy. Have Reset NVRAM, still no sound. In Windows 10 all the indications are that the volume is there as there is movement showing at all the relevant locations but NO sound out the inbuilt speakers. The MAC is Late 2012 now running El Capitan with the last update. Boot Camp 6 and Windows 10 Upgrade from Windows Ultimate. The most annoying thing is that all worked great till the Apple upgrade to El Capitan upgrade. As anybody got any ideas?? As an after thought what are the keyboard buttons that operate the sound when running in Windows in Boot Camp, just in case I am not using the correct ones.

You're right, EFI doesn't go well with older macs and causes driver issues. So i reinstalled W10 but through the "Windows" installer and not the EFI one. I had to reformat my disk (doing the clear command in cmd) and even though it deleted my mac partition, i honestly don't really care since i already have a backup of osx i can restore from if i have to reinstall it in the future. Again LonerT, thanks for the active help. (you the real mvp)
