Google links don't work after iOS 9.3

After update to iOS 9.3 on my iPhone 6 Plus I can no longer click on search links from Google anymore. Tried both in Safari and Chrome. Works well with Bing.com.

If I hold down on the link and choose to open in new tab it works.

restarted apps -> same result

Rebooted iPhone twice -> same result.

I Have the sAmerica issues after upgrading to iOS 9.3 last night on my iPhone 6. Called customer service tech support and at first they denied having an issue with iOS 9.3 and that they are not aware of one. Then the guy comes back after I sent him the link to this page with people comparing about this issue and said that they were made aware of this issue 15 minutes ago. Bull.

What solved the issue with me is setting the date back to 25 March (Settings -> General -> Date and Time and disable automatic time, then set the date to 25 March), then open safari back again and clicking links are working again.

After that I set the date to automatic again and it still works, so it seems that this will fix the problem.

this did not work for me, still SOL and ******!

Similar problem here:

1. Safari won't open most links, including "open in background". App freezes and won't accept any input (has to be closed via Home).

2. Mail won't open any links

3. Apps using Safari won't open links, and freeze (again having to close app via Home button).

4. Chrome experiencing issues on some webpages, not others (possibly due to different way different links open).

Clearing cache, disabling java, hard reboot all have not resolved.

Apple support advise that it is impossible to downgrade to 9.2.1, which I would have done despite the pain of relaoding music etc.

Online tutorials to downgrade do not work either (as noted by other posters).

This is really really poor from Apple. At the very least they should make the downgrade process easy, to reduce user impact whilst they resolve their all-too-frequent bugs. All those millions of dollars still haven't bought them a robust testing strategy, or a customer-focused mitigation plan.

This is very likely to be the last iPhone I purchase. £550 for this lack of service is appalling. Customer loyalty eroded.

Poor response from Apple below - seriously !!

"We've heard reports of this issue and it's currently under review. Be sure to keep your software up to date in case a future release addresses this issue

In the meantime, we do have two work-around options. Restarting the phone may allow links to work, but the issue can come back. You can also go into Settings > Safari > Advanced and turn off JavaScript, that will allow links to work but some websites may not function properly without JavaScript."

doesnt fix the email issue and i haven't paid over £1000 for devices to have to work around the f**k ups.

Patience wearing very very thin

I upgraded my iPhone 6s to iOS 9.3 on Tuesday 3/22, but just began having this problem in the middle of browsing today, Sunday 3/27 (meaning that links were working, and then just stopped mid-session). As others have suggested, I have disabled Javascript in Settings -> Safari and can now use Safari, but links in Mail don't work, and in Chrome I have to hold down the link and open a new tab. I cleard my cache and then restarted and then rebooted the iPhone, but none of those has made a difference. I am very frustrated....

I doubt this is an isolated issue just affecting few devices. At least I see the problem on both my iPhone 6 and iPad Air. Both upgraded to IOS 9.3 yesterday when the problem started (not sure if it was caused by iOS 9.3 upgrade or just started yesterday). Disabling Javascript seems to fix at least Safari.

Although my wife has an iPhone 6 that also is upgraded to iOS 9.3 and she does not face same problem ....

But agree with others in this thread that Apple could have spent a few more man-hours on testing here.

Few devices?? Sorry but it is bull@@@ I am working for the big blue company which signed the exclusive contract with Apple. Thousands of employers are using apple iphones as the default device provided by the company and guess what? Today I received info from min 130 people from all over the world and they called it issue with few devices.... Such a shame apple!
