I can't fast forward with Apple TV remote anymore

All of the sudden I can't swipe to fast forward or rewind when Im watching a video using my 4th gen Apple tv and remote. I can still swipe to navigate the menus without a problem. I just can't swipe to forward or rewind when watching a movie/youtube video/netflix.

Please help if you have any ideas.

Thanks

Hi. You can control playback as follows: Click on the left or right edge of the touchpad to move by 10 seconds. Hold the left or right edge to fast reverse or forward. Pause the video to scrub to another location on the timeline. This is described here https://help.apple.com/appletv/#/atvb7944597f.

Edit: It looks like scrubbing of AirPlay video doesn't work. When paused it doesn't show the thumbnail of the current position, and scrubbing is not possible. You can scrub using the timeline on the on the iOS device video player.

No your not! You bought an Apple TV so that disqualifies you right off the bat. Also your Apple purchase got you significant continuous improvement support including adding this feature in the latest update to eliminate the complaints of users who when reaching for the remote to adjust the volume touched the pad by accident and lost their place in the movie.

I can't fast forward with Apple TV remote anymore
