Mpeg 4 video will not open in QT pro.

I cannot get this one Mpeg 4 video to open on my early 2009 Mac with Quicktime pro 7.6.6. When checking the format it says "MPEG4 Visual" and the codec is "Codec ID : isom (mp41)". I thought it was possibly an older flavor of MPEG4 maybe part 2 but I'm not sure. I have a 1 year older Mac(Harperstown) QT Pro 7.6.6 and it will open it. I added any plugins form the older machine to the newer one(if the newer did not already have the plugin but no luck.

Any ideas what i could do to get this open? By the way those codec and format settings were for the video there is also ACC audio.

I suspect the problem may be a security issue in which one of your platforms ignores the "mp41" ftyp file entry and the other traps on it. According to the ftyps.com and Wikipedia listings, this is an MP4 version 1 (ISO 14496-1) file which has been "obsoleted" by the version 2 (MPEG-4 Part 14) definition. Since you indicate the data itself is playback compatible with one of your systems, I would try one of the following options depending on the software you have available:

Modify the "mp41" ftyp atom (header) entry,
copy the data from the original file to a new file container on the system that can still open the file, or
transcode the original file using any compatible conversion utility on either system.
