Stuck in iOS 9.3 Night Shift mode

Has anyone seen their device get stuck in Night Shift mode? My iPad Air this morning didn't go back to the normal. Tried switching Night Shift off and back on again but the only thing that would fix it was to power cycle the iPad.

The only thing I did different was to put the iPad on charge overnight.

I'm also ha I g this problem every morning. Set to sunrise to sunset, locat services enabled, etc.

IT always switches to night mode without fail, and always fails to switch the display to day. The toggle on the swipe up always thinks it has, and switching manually into night switches the screen to day and then switching to day the display remains in day.

I do charge my iPhone 5s over night.

I Had hoped this would have been fixed in the last iOS update.

Same here, NCIceman. Since updating to 9.3 my iPad Air has been working better with Night Shift, however it still sticks in night mode occasionally. It seems like every 3-4 days it won't automatically shift out of night mode and I have to manually switch it off in the morning. Then it works fine for a few days and sticks again. I've tried the suggestion of changing the warmth, it has only been a day so I'll report back in a few to let you know if it sticks again.

Briansyddall, The problem isn't that we don't know how to set the time for night mode. The problem is that even though it should no longer be in night mode - and the settings say that it is NOT in night mode - the screen remains in the night mode warm color until you go in and toggle it on and off and on again. It is not returning to the normal daytime color/cool shades even though the settings show that night mode is off.

I am also having the stuck in night mode problem with my iPhone 5S. It's supposed to revert to normal at 7am but stays in the 'yellow' mode. When I swipe up from bottom, the night mode is not on but if I toggle it on and off again then the colours revert to normal. Irritating so hopefully Apple will resolve it with the next update.

I am running iOS 9.3.1. The update actually helped a bit. Before the update it would still be in night mode every day after it was scheduled to switch to daytime. (Note: the settings showed that night mode was off, but color was still on "warm".). Since the update, it sticks in night mode every 3-4 days.

Yes, I have done a hard restart.

From what I've seen, this only affects older model iPads and iPhones (iPad Air and older and iPhones 5s and older). I have an iPad Air, which is experiencing this issue, but my iPhone 6 is fine.

Hope this helps anyone working on fixing this issue.

I am running 9.3.1 on an iPad Air. I have recently done a hard reset to correct a networking issue. For me the problem is every night; after the nightshift time period expires, the colors are still shifted. Touching the Color Temperature control immediately corrects it, but the next morning the issue has happened again. I will keep tweaking with settings to see if it makes a difference. I have the temp set to less "warm" than the default, will see if moving it to more warm makes a difference.
