Stuck in iOS 9.3 Night Shift mode

Has anyone seen their device get stuck in Night Shift mode? My iPad Air this morning didn't go back to the normal. Tried switching Night Shift off and back on again but the only thing that would fix it was to power cycle the iPad.

The only thing I did different was to put the iPad on charge overnight.

My iPad Air has also been staying in night mode after the time it is supposed to return to daytime mode. I have been able to switch it back using the night/day mode button on the control panel that "slides up" when you swipe up from the bottom of the screen. But isn't the time setting supposed to automatically switch it off in the morning? Why else enter a time?

My iPhone 5s (9.3.1) was stuck this morning. The control panel showed that it was not in Nightshift but the screen was clearly not in normal mode.

When I tapped the Nightshift button in the control panel, the screen turned blue, but the indicator showed the opposite. Then I tapped the button two more times and it synced back to normal colors.

Reported as bug #25710717

Summary:

I have Night Shift set to the Sunset-Sunrise schedule. Around Noon today, screen was still "yellow" and yet the Night Shift icon in the Control Panel was set to off. Had to toggle this icon a few times before screen colors came out of Night Shift mode.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Set Night Shift to "Scheduled" and select "Sunset to Sunrise" option.

2. "Manually Enable Until..." is set to "off".

3. During daylight hours activate phone screen.

4. Observe screen colors are still "yellow".

5. Observe Night Shift icon in Control Panel is set to "off".

Expected Results:

As per schedule, I expect Night Shift mode to be disabled during the day. Also, if the Night Shift icon in Control Panel is showing "off", the screen colors should be normal, not "yellow".

Actual Results:

Sometimes I see the screen is still "yellow" during daylight hours despite the Control Panel icon showing Night Shift set to "off". I am able to get the screen colors back to normal by toggling the Night Shift button in the Control Panel several times.

Version:

iOS 9.3.1 [13E238]

Notes:

Problem occurs randomly and rarely. Several others are reporting the same issue in the Apple forums.

Configuration:

iPhone 5s, 32 GB, Verizon

I also have this issue. However, I adjusted the "intensity" of night shift mode's color shift, rather than leaving it at the default. I also do plug it in overnight to charge. Cold boot did not fix it. Have not retested since 9.3.2.

Messed with it again, and noted that every time I set it to scheduled and am within the hours scheduled, Manually Enabled also turns on! Turning Manual off leaves scheduled on, but the colors are no longer shifted.

I have also been having this problem. Just wanted to note that I also do not use the default brightness for night shift. I have the slider toward more yellow

I have also been having this problem. I didn't want to reset all settings. And just turning night shift scheduled on and off didn't work for me . This is what I found worked.

-go into night shift settings and turn "scheduled" to off

-select "manually enable until tomorrow" to temporarily turn Nightshift ON

-turn "manually enable until tomorrow" OFF

-now turn "scheduled" back to on

Your screen should be reset to the normal daytime colors
