Disabling "Smart Search" Suggestions in Safari 6?

Greetings.

I am running Safari 6.2.8 on OS X 10.8.5.
I have Google selected as my Search Engine
I enabled the Smart Search Field Option "Prevent Search Engine from providing suggestions" under Preferences->Privacy

I still get search suggestions!

What I already did:

"Reset" Safari under Safari->Reset Safari...

Has anybody had similar issues?

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5), Safari 6.2.8

Safari > Preferences > Search

Deselect: Include search engine suggestions

And check your settings next to: Smart Search Filed in the same preference pane.

Reseting Safari empties caches, it has no effect on preference settings.

Thank you for the quick answer!

Safari 6 doesn't seem to have this menu 😟

Upgrading isn't an option since some Applications I use don't run on OS X > 10.8.
