There used to be lazymouse to do this, but lm has gone. This is a useful feature which I would like back.
Is there something that causes the trackpad pointer to snap automatically to the default button? I have heard of steermouse, is it better with a mouse?
Any info appreciated.

something like BetterTouchTool or MagicPrefs might do that. Not sure.
I assume you know you can just hit "Return" to trigger a default button and "esc" to Cancel.
(*) SteerMouse does not support the Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad.
(*) SteerMouse may not support some special functions.

It is possible to do that, but it would be quicker to keep my fingers on the trackpad, and click.
