... time to employ stronger measures. The first would be to download and run The Safe Mac’s AdwareMedic (donation requested). It will scan your Mac, seeking out adware that may be causing your problem.

malwarebytes got rid of (literally) 16 adware viruses, and 4 malware viruses. It works perfectly and saved my computer i was about to have to factory reset and lose all of my data. THX malwarebytes

Apple do not 'detect scam ware' so the 'company' was probably scamming you. What app did they install.
It's not the end of the world, you fell for a scam that's all, now you should follow Kurts advice, fix it, be more careful in the future, and move on.
Indeed, not the end of the world, and I fixed it change all password, cancel the credit card for a new one, and leaning the old Mac, who is presently shut down. Ty for your help guys.

I've looked, but I can't find any way to manually turn off real-time protection.
Click the Malwarebytes icon in the Menu bar and select "Stop Real-Time Protection".
Since it's an extension, would a restart be required after turning it off?
