iPhone 5s Logic Board Broken

I have a logic board where a small piece snapped off which I've reattached with superglue (see images).

Broken Piece Front

Broken Piece Back - does it look like there's something missing from the back?

Also, in the back casing of the phone, a black strip also broke (like part of an S shape) which I've been attempting to superglue but having difficulty (see images).

Snapped S Shape 2

I'm not very technical so I'm wondering if these superglue repairs were a good idea or not. I don't know what function the broken pieces have and I'm not sure if the glue will contaminate etc.

Also, the phone is water damaged and I'm following a tutorial which advises to submerge the logic board in Isopropyl Alcohol. If I did this, would it be best to avoid contact between the alcohol and superglue as this would remove it?

Do you reckon the combination of these damages and the water damage amounts to giving up on the attempt of repair?/any other suggestions? 😐

The broken part basically earths part of the mother board to the housing. Superglue has not likely repaired the electrical bond in the copper which was once there. In theory this shouldn't affect the operation of the phone. But I couldn't say for sure without seeing the damage in person.

The S shaped cable is the wifi antenna. Hate to say it... but super glue ain't fixing anything. This cable can be replaced. But no point doing that until the phone works.

Submerging the board as it is in isopropyl alcohol is a very crude and optimistically hopeful attempt at repair. Ideally the metal shields all need to be de-soldered. And the phone put through an ultra sonic cleaning. Even then, it just gets the phone to a point of knowing what to replace or if it's a lost cause. You never know though... you might get lucky!

A problem with isopropyl alcohol is its water content. Over-the-counter isopropyl contains 30% water, so it can make the problem worse. It's possible to find 91% isopropyl (9% water), which is less likely to worsen the problem, but there are cleaning liquids made for sensitive electronics that would be the first choice. I agree with SunOfRa for this case.

The biggest problem this board has right now is significant untreated water damage in the area of the display/touch driver on the board. Do you see the little holes on the back side of the board? Water clearly entered the board there, which is the exact location of the highest voltage line on the board. You can scrub the board all you want with isopropyl alcohol, but unless you desolder the shields that are covering 90% of the board, you're not doing much. At least pull off the stickers that are surrounding the connectors! Boards in this condition will rarely come back and be functional without board level troubleshooting and microsoldering, even with desoldering the shields and ultrasonic cleaning of the frank corrosion.

It certainly doesn't hurt to see what happens with alcohol and a toothbrush for fun, but I wouldn't invest anything in this board.

Put the superglue away, it is doing nothing for this phone other than just making a mess. Get the board to a point that it will hold power, produce image and backlight, and charge outside of its native housing----then pursue fixing the wifi and grounding bracket.
