The trash icon has disappeared, on Ipad

Hi,

I would like to delete some photos from my ipad, but the trash icon doesn't appear.

I clicked on the photo to open it but the icon doesn't appear.

It is the same when I select the photo.

Do you know how to solve this problem ?

Best regards

How did the photos get onto the iPad ? If they were synced from a computer you can't delete it directly in the Photos app, you will need to reconnect the iPad to your computer, select its Photos tab in your computer's iTunes, change your photo sync selection (or delete/move the photos from the folders/albums they were synced from on you computer), and resync

On my iPad if I tap the 'Duplicate and Edit' button it takes me into the edit window for it, with a copy of it being put in the Camera Roll album (and if I then perform an edit an edited version is also put in Camera Roll). If that isn't happening try closing the Photos app via the iPad's taskbar and do a soft-reset/reboot (press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the ‘slide to power off’), after which the Apple logo should appear and it should reboot) and see if then does it

It's the same process on my ipad.

I think i will search for another way than Itunes to put photos on the ipad (itunes synchronizations are often very long and sometimes with problems).

I have just seen that there is an application called Photosync for putting photos on the ipad. When putting photos from the pc to the ipad with this application, maybe is it possible after to delete photos directly on the ipad ?

I will have a look for solutions like that.

Thanks again for your help !

If I'm correctly understanding what the app does then yes, when you use the app to copy photos from your computer they should go into the Camera Roll album - I have a similar app, Simple Transfer Pro, which can copy photos to the Camera Roll album (and can copy multiple photos in one go).

There are also other photo management apps which you could use instead of Photos, I use Photo Manager Pro to have the photos from my computer - that app lets you delete photos directly in it
