I have an iMovie project which is 4.5GB in size and consists of many sections of CCTV footage to make a compilation.
I have exported it to file previously no problem. When I made a few corrections it now exports as small MP4 file and a very large document file.
Has anyone any ideas please?

I am also having a similar problem. I've got two projects that I've worked on & published but they are saved onto my desktop as an mp4 file. Now usually QuickTime can open up an mp4 video file no problem but due to varies types of videos and sounds in the video QuickTime won't open my movie. I've tried converting the file but none of them work!
Help is greatly appreciated!
What sharing settings are you using? What resolution and quality settings? Best results in a .mov file, High and medium produces an .mp4.
What is the extension of the 'Document ' file?

Thanks Geoff, I'm away from my Mac at the moment so can't provide full details to your reply.
The file was 4.9GB on the default quality setting and I used custom to reduce the file to 4.6GB so it would fit onto a DVD.
The resolution was 1080 and compression was faster.
The file extension I will have to look at when I get home.

while the video is being shared (produced) it was shown in the destination folder as an MP4 file and document file. upon completion it became an mp4 file entirely.

So if I understand this correctly instead of saving my file high & medium, if I use best results it will save into a .mov file? I'm trying this now!
