Trying to install iCloud 5.1 on Windows 10. It will not install due to the error in the Event Viewer "iCloud -- Error 1316. The specified account already exists". I have reinstalled windows 10 and ran a registry cleaner. Still I cannot install it.

If you feel confident then using regedit (as an administrator) and searching for the key and deleting it manually. Good idea to search first and see how many places it is in.

You could also search for iCloud.

Deleting the specific key or the iCloud branch might work.

There is the normal warning that messing with the registry can make windows unusable but if you've just reinstalled there is less to loose.

Check out the web for how to search and edit the registry. There are some tools that might help you with this but I don't keep up with this so can't tell you what they are.
