Dear community members, I use iCloud to sync Photos on three Macs and one iPhone. Suddenly, my photo library stopped syncing on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, early 2015, OS X El Capitan 10.11.4). I tried adding and removing some photos, but nothing happened. I tried repairing the library, but it didn't work neither. Could you please suggest me a solution? Thank you very much!

Yes, force downloading worked, but I'm looking for a more definitive solution, as the problem will continue when I add new photos to the library.

I suspect one of the photos or videos you are currently having in iCloud is stopping the download. By force-downloading you might be able to identify it.
The reasons you mentioned did not apply to my case, a simple reindexing of the library helped. All photos - except one! - got uploaded.
But I'm unable to find out which photo this is. My smart folder "All Photos which failed to upload" is empty.

What does the status message say below the Moments? "One local item" or "One local photo"? If it is "item" the offending library item is neither a photo note a video. Search your library for some item, that has a different filename extension from the photos you are mostly importing.
