I have a Lexmark printer/fax/scanner. the printer and fax work, but when I try to scan I get the following error."An error occured while communicating with the scanner" how do I access the scanner feature?

Found out that this was a network security issue. I don't exactly know what is causing the error ,but I connected both the mac and the hp printer to my phones hotspot and it worked. Was able to scan without any issues.

I suggest changing the security setting of the router to just WPA or try making it open just to test if it will work.
