I have an iPhone 5c, how do I delete a number from a group text? Please don't tell me to go into the details and swipe right to left on the number/name and tap delete. THAT DOES NOT WORK!!!
Thanks for any help that actually works. This is "Apple" after all.

Nobody here works for Apple, we are just user like you.
If an Android does it, then by all means go back to Android.

Look, you started this with the snarky "go cry to your carrier" comment. I was pointing out that it wasn't a carrier problem, as on other platforms it works fine on the same carrier. Then, you followed up with the typical "go back to Android" comment. Not terribly helpful, and truthfully the reason the Apple community gets a bad rap.
No one here is obligated to agree with you. The simple fact is that you can't do what you want on an iPhone. If it's that important to you, you should definitely get a phone that better meets your needs. Spending large amounts of money on something that makes you unhappy seems foolish. What phone you chose makes no difference to us, though.
I think apple 🍎 got too many teeny boppers workkng for them as to not have a think outside your bedroom or box 📦...i mean even the iphone tv commercials only show the pretty shiny fone not its spectacular features etc etc ...worst than a car commercial !!
That did not work for me. What happens when I swipe the number is that it shows me that contact's information. This is very frustrating.
This dies not seem to work in iOS 10.2.1. There is no "Details". Just the "i"
Hope Apple finds a way to fix that. How many of us don't know someone with an android phone? :p

I jqve same behavior. iOS 10.2.1
This does not work in iOS 10.2.1.
This is a serious deficiency for 'Messages'. Way to 'build a wall' around your AppleGarden™. Can't believe this isn't fixed, yet.

Who has a convo with ALL Apple devices? That's vanishingly rare.
Then go cry to your phone carrier, MMS is a carrier feature,

Perhaps in your experience. They are increasingly common in mine.
Really, since Android devices, using the same carrier, do work, but nice Apple apologizing.
Doesn't work just opens my contacts. Frustrating. Tried a thousand times. Doesn't allow me to delete swiping not working. Ideas?
Sorry, but it can't be done.
