how do you delete unused genres

I am trying to delete unused genres from my library?

desk top, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

A few Genres are pre-defined in the MP3 tags standard. Others, created by you or inherited as part of downloaded files, can be eliminate by changing all instances of that genre.


In Music > My Music > select Songs as view. You should see a list of Genres near the top of the window > select a Genre that you want to eliminate > select all songs displayed in the main window > Get Info (Command+I) > delete or change the Genre field in the window that is displayed.
