Simplink?

Hi,

Do anyone else have problems to get CEC/Simplink to work? It seems like the volume need to be used with IR and its only power on thats works. Power off from AppleTV do not turn of the TV. And if the TV is turned off the appleTV is still on.

Further more the AppleTV do not turn on the tv when starting something op with Airplay

Anyone else have the same problems with LG? I think Apple and LG have different implementations of the CEC protocol. But i think its strange that Apple havn't made sure it would work on major brands like LG.

Have you turned on "ControlTVs and Receivers" in the ATV remotes settings?

Have you enabled CEC appropriately on the TV? Users of Vizio TVs have reported that theirs will not turn off, but that appears to be a Vizio problem. Different TVs have different settings to enable CEC features.

I think the CEC protocol is pretty well defined, despite manufacurers each giving it a different name.

My ATV 4 does wake up when I initiate AirPlay while it's sleeping. However, that does not turn on the TV. I need to hit the remote home button for it to wake up the TV. Not sure why that is, but there may be a valid reason for that. It's apretty specialized feature, though.

Yes it is turned on. As i wrote the appleTV can turn on the tv, but not off and it need to use IR to control volume.

Furthermore the TV do not turn off the appleTV.

The whole reason for me to get an AppleTV was to only have one remote. But the only feature i have is that that AppleTV can turn on the TV only when using the appleTV remote and not with airplay and the turn off function do not work with from Apple remote or TV to turn off both devices
