Fan stuck on full

So I just purchased a 2012 macbook pro 17" and love it. There was one issue that i was aware of when i purchased it. The left fan is stuck on full speed. I have downloaded TG Pro and the right fan control works perfectly but the left fan says it is at 0RPM even though it is at full speed, every once and a while it will blip showing 250 RPM but drop back to 0. i can not control the fan speed at all. At least I know that the fan is working and it won't over heat. anyone have any thoughts? I don't have alot money to take it to an apple store.

So there is no colored wires coming out if the fan. Only black? unless you mean wires on the back side of the logic board

so if the wires are not colored, you will need to check them all, and follow them along the board and look for bad connections or breaks in the wires.

A Multi-meter can be used to check continuity of signals across connectors.

The plug comes right out of the fan itself and when i changed the fan the same thing happened

Unless there is a bad solder joint on the plug itself. That pic is of the old fan.

can you probe from the fan-side of the connector to the land on the board to see if you have three good connections there?

can you use a magnifier to look for a Bad connection there?

I take it that "V" Indicates Voltage.

The usual convention is that a symbol indicates Pin-1.

Ahhh That makes sense. I took a look at the solder joints but i don't have a magnifying glass to get really close up... They seem ok, doesn't look like a cold solder or anything like that. I wish there was someone i could talk through this with free. lol.

Consider an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a FREE evaluation. You may find a technician you can give you detailed guidance.

That is good advice. I had no idea that Apple had a free evaluation. When i get some time away from work i will have to set that up.
