My partner has dropped her iPhone 6, visibly cracking the glass and damaging the LCD screen behind (distorted lines present). How much will it cost to get both components repaired in store? And is it something which can be done on the spot?

Yes, the digitizer glass and the underlying LCD screen are fused together as one replacement piece---which will also include a new front camera, new proximity sensor, new earspeaker, and new home button.
Not all Apple Stores can do a screen swap in house, and they will only do it if your phone has no frame damage---just a cracked display.
The screen swap price is $109 plus tax in the US. If you have frame damage--dings/bends or damage to any other part, then you will not qualify for the screen swap and will only be offered the choice to buy an refurbished replacement phone.

Thanks for the link. To elaborate, what I am seeking clarification on is whether the 'Screen Repair' service is inclusive of the LCD component, or merely to replace the cracked glass? The website does not make this clear.

The display is a single unit, sealed together by the factory that assembles the displays. So yes, replacing any single component of the display requires replacing the entire display unit, hence the single repair price listed by Apple for screen/display replacement. While it can be done at an Apple Store in fairly short order, best to call them and ask about it and then schedule an appointment for when they say they can actually do it while you wait.
Would it cost extra to get a screen repaired if the frame is broken? My iPhone 6 bent, then it bent back to normal which caused a piece of the frame beside my volume key to bend outwards (if that makes sense?)
Also, because people seem to know what they're talking about in this thread, when apple asks the question "Is your product have repairable damage (not in multiple pieces, for example" does the multiple pieces part count as my phone being shattered? Glass comes off in the top right corner of my phone sometimes, but for the most part, the glass is secure.
In your instance, it doesn't matter. They cannot properly fit a new display on a device that has been bent. In your case, the only repair they will offer is a full out of warranty exchange of your damaged device for a replacement device. A shattered display should not disqualify a device for OoW replacement. The OoW replacement fee for an iPhone 6 is $299 USD.
