EXS24 instrument “Rock Kit.exs” cannot be found but it's in the right folder

Hi there,

When I start GarageBand on my Mac, every time this error message appears:

EXS24 instrument “Rock Kit.exs” not found.

So the first thing I did was to upgrade my GB library with all the available sounds because I hoped that might solve my problem but it didn't work after the download either. The next step was to delete all my GarageBand files and the application itself and I re-installed the program. I did that two times, still no improvement. Then I checked the Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Instrument Library/Sampler/Sampler Instruments/ to be sure that my "lost" file really wasn't there. I found out that all the needed files are there, the "Rock Kit.exs too.

When I try to open one of these files I always get the message "The file couldn't be opened".

I really have no clue what else I should/could try.

Any ideas about my problem?
