Crack in the bottom left corner - HELP

I purchased my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 with 1 TB Flash Storage less than a year ago as I bought it to use as my main computer for school. I am going to school for computer engineering with a minor in computer science so I wanted to get the best that money could buy and do plan on using it all throughout college. Today, as I was using it I noticed a 1.5" crack in the aluminum, located at the bottom left hand side of the outer aluminum casing. As this is a key component in my everyday use, I did purchase AppleCare when I bought this computer. I have no clue how this crack got there but I know it happened today because I use my computer everyday and it was perfectly fine yesterday. Another thing I would like to include is that a couple months ago I was on vacation and purchased a hard case for my computer and as I was trying to remove the top, it did fall about 1.5' - 2' onto the ground. It did leave a mark on the bottom right hand corner and cracked the glass a tiny bit, but damage was minimal. These are the only incidents that have ever occurred while using the computer, other than that it has never been exposed to liquid damage or any other drops. I usually carry it in a Booq Spacesuit case and put that in my NorthFace Surge backpack. I always make sure to take optimal care of my things. Overall, are these things covered by AppleCare? I would like to replace the outer casing (top and bottom) and possibly the glass if applicable. If not then what is covered by AppleCare? I am very worried about the crack because I believe that it was not caused by anything I did and I do not want to lose all of the files and software I have purchased. Thank you in advance!

MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 9.3.1, null
